NORMING (Stage 3)
Leadership issues resolved
Procedures re-established
Issues (not people) confronted
Sub-groups disappear; cohesion begins
Ability to remain focused on task
Values and assumptions are discussed
Willingness to experiment
Risks discussed in meetings
Formerly quiet people now contributing
PERFORMING (Stage 4)
Outside help and resources welcomed
Members energize each other
Much role flexibility: leadership may rotate
Members protect each other: inside and out of meetings
Sense of genuine enjoyment of working together
Lots of “ahas”.
Frequent review of process.
Objectives clear and sound
Problems handled creatively.
Decisions by consensus
